“Stamps featuring cold vacation locations” is the theme for today’s Sunday Stamps

Almsee, sometimes Lake Alm, is a lake in Upper Austria’s part of the Salzkammergut in the Almtal valley. The Almsee is a splendor in every season and attracts numerous visitors. In winter, the frozen lake is a popular meeting place for ice skaters.

I’m a fan of se-tenant stamps. The Swiss action painting really captures the moment.

I think you won the “cold” contest with those Nepal ones! (Although I did learn Canada is the coldest country in the world.)

Love these mountains. Looking at any one of then does not make wish I could climb them – but the idea of skating on a lake within view of them would be my idea of a perfect way to spend a winter’s afternoon.

Hard to imagine coldest places than Mount Everest! Although I don’t know what to think about it being a place to spend holidays 😀

Tell that to my cousins in Italy!!! They are rock and ice climbers and would spend all their free time there 🙂
