Postcard from Italy

Bridge in my hometown, Lecco, Italy, back in the old days….. The railway bridge is over the river Adda, where Lake Como transitions back into a river (the river flows into the northern end of Lake Como, contributing significantly to the lake’s volume). The bridge is still there now, but it looks a little different. The bridge in the background was built by Azzone Visconti, Lord of Milan, in the first half of the 14th century.
