Sir Tow Mater is an anthropomorphic tow truck from Disney/Pixar’s Cars franchise. His first name is Tow, and his last name is Mater. It is a pun on the word “tomato.” When he introduces himself to Lightning McQueen in the first movie, he explains his name: “Yeah, like ‘tuh-mater,’ but without the ‘tuh’.” 
Famous for being able to drive backwards just as well as he drives forwards. 
Lacks a hood and has a functional crane/boom tow hook on the back.
