An early English settlement, Norfolk is filled with historic sites and monuments. It is also home to a massive naval base on Chesapeake Bay. The Chrysler Museum of Art, considered one of the Top 20 museums in the USA, features masterworks from every major civilization, historical period, and culture of the past 5,000 years. It showcases a vast collection of glass art, European and American paintings, and sculpture. The Norfolk Mermaidsare life-size mermaid sculptures placed throughout the city by local artists and businesses to celebrate Norfolk’s maritime heritage. These sculptures dot the city, serving as a popular attraction and an official city symbol, with an interactive map available to help find them on a “mermaid treasure hunt”.

Toronto, the capital of the province of Ontario, along Lake Ontario’s northwestern shore. Its core of soaring skyscrapers is dwarfed by the iconic, free-standing CN Tower. Toronto also has many green spaces, from the orderly oval of Queen’s Park to 400-acre High Park and its trails, sports facilities, and zoo.
I haven’t been to Norfolk – I’ll keep the museum in my mind if I ever do. My trip to Toronto was fun, and I was surprised to find that I really enjoyed LA. To be fair, I didn’t have to live and work there, so didn’t have to worry about commuting. Love the moon in the night view. Finnbadger/Phillip

‘Bike friendly’ is a great selling point for Norfolk and I suppose one could use it to visit all the mermaids. A nice blue view of Toronto.
