Sulawesi Scops Owl

The Sulawesi scops owl is a small owl with prominent ear tufts and bright yellow eyes (Otus elegans botelensis). It is native to Sulawesi, Indonesia. Its diet consists mainly of moths, beetles, and crickets.

  1. Moths, beetles, and crickets… it must be a very small owl indeed! I’ve seen a pygmy owl, so tiny and cute, but still able to prey on songbirds.
