Thursday Postcard Hunt – Travel: My Own Country

“Travel: My Own Country – USA” is this week’s theme for Thursday Postcard Hunt.

Postcards from USA

Zion National Park – Utah

Lake Airfield is located in Sussex and Southampton Counties, about eight miles south of Wakefield, Virginia, on Route 628.
It is surrounded by mixed pine and hardwood forest, with numerous cypress and tupelo trees along the shoreline. Water lilies are abundant in the shallow water

  1. I like the composition of the Chicago card, it makes it look like a utopia from the future. In contrast the lake looks like a place to chill out.

  2. The Zion one is so pretty. I was going to say we never went that direction on family vacations when I was growing up, tending to go up and over, like Canada and Montana. But, then I remembered I swam in the Great Salt Lake, so did go to Utah. No Zion though. I also remember the salty water stung any scratch I had!
