The Laomei Green Stone Trough is located in Laomeili, Shimen District, New Taipei City. It was originally a volcanic reef left on the coast after the eruption of the Datun volcano. Due to long-term wave erosion, the soft parts were eroded, leaving a harder one. Part of it forms a vertical groove. It is a scenic spot in Taiwan. During April and May, algae cover the stone troughs in a vibrant green. The algae-covered rocks are very slippery and dangerous, so visitors should not walk on them.
Postcard from New Zealand
Mitre Peak is close to the shore of Milford Sound, in the Fiordland National Park in the southwestern South Island of New Zealand. It rises to 5,560 feet (1,690 m) with almost sheer drops to the water. The peak is actually a closely grouped set of five peaks, although from most easily accessible viewpoints, it appears as a single point. Milford Sound is part of Te Wahipounamu, a World Heritage Site as declared by UNESCO.
I was hoping someone would post an aurora! That view in Taiwan is lovely – and as much as i’d want to skip along those rocks, I can imagine how slippery they are.
If we speak of colourful, of course the aurora borealis wins!

While they are all lovely, I like the New Zealand one best.

Stunning view of Mitre Peak, I’ve only seen it as a lone view with its reflection before. Beautiful range of aurora borealis shapes and colours.
