“Stamps featuring no English words” is the theme for today’s Sunday Stamps
Italy – 1977 Article 53 of the Italian Constitution – Encouragement to Taxpayers. (tr: Everyone must contribute to public spending according to their ability to contribute.)
Soviet Union – 1983 66th Anniversary of the Great October Revolution (tr: Glory to the Great October)
I’ve seen South American countries issuing ‘pay your tax’ stamps but not as an article of a constitution. Interesting. Of course as I saw that was article 53, which I thought was a lot, I had to look it up, wow 139 articles! Impressive, as one speaking from a country that does not have a constitution, I can never decide if that is a good or bad thing.
Thanks for the translations! I can understand Italian, but not Russian 🙂
I have looked if there are more Italian stamps with other articles of the Constitution, but I haven’t found any.

I think that the constitution article was just an incentive to pay taxes 🙂

Wouldn’t it be nice if we all did pay taxes according to our ability! The Soviet one has such bright colors.

i like that article. I don’r understand why people are so against paying their fair share of taxes.
You can always count on a Russian stamp to have a brilliant shade of red!
