“Gems, Minerals” is the theme for today’s Sunday Stamps

The Barmy Ryazan treasure is a collection of silver artifacts discovered in the forests near Old Ryazan, Russia in 1822. The treasure includes a 12th-century bracelet featured on the postage stamp.
“Barmy” is plural of barma (“a regal Russian mantle or neckpiece made of gold, encrusted with diamonds and other gems”)

I posted a different stamp from the Mineral Heritage series! It’s a pretty series.

The Faberge is gorgeous! And the 12C bracelet must have been an exciting find.
