..is the theme for today’s Sunday Stamps

Francisco Gómez de Quevedo y Santibáñez Villegas, Knight of the Order of Santiago was a Spanish nobleman, politician, and writer of the Baroque era. Along with his lifelong rival, Luis de Góngora, Quevedo was one of the most prominent Spanish poets of the age. His style is characterized by what was called conceptismo.
Spanish Sahara, officially the Spanish Possessions in the Sahara from 1884 to 1958, then Province of the Sahara between 1958 and 1976, was the name used for the modern territory of Western Sahara when it was occupied and ruled by Spain between 1884 and 1976.

This stamp was on a postcard from Lithuania. I could not find any info on it. And what is the word to the right of the number 12? P, E, N?, ?…. Let me know if you figure it out.

I think that third one is not a real stamp.

Yes it is a Cinderella/fantasy stamp (nice its been franked). As you can imagine Lewis Carol’s creations have spawned many of them, the most famous being those issued by Gerald King when Wonderland becomes part of the British Empire LOL.

The blue in the first really pops for me! I do love the Spanish Sahara one (I’ll spare myself his name!), I always enjoy the look on his face!
