Sannenzaka, or Sannen-zaka, is a stone-paved pedestrian road and tourist attraction in Higashiyama-ku, Kyoto, Japan. The road is lined with traditional buildings and shops
I do love that first one. I would no doubt slip down those steps in the rain though! I need handrails! I’m not coordinated with steps, never having lived with stairways.
The Kyoto slope street looks so interesting, but as with Lisa, I’d probably slip and fall! What a grand view of the theatre in Vienna. And, of course NYC, a most walkable city.
Yes one would have to concentrate going down those Kyoto steps whatever the weather, nevertheless a walk that would be irresistible. Impressive theatre.
No doubt my favourite street & postcard would be the first one. Street views, daily life, are among my favourite kind of postcards.
