…is the theme for today’s Sunday Stamps

The kelvin-Helmholtz clouds effect is a rare phenomenon, where a cloud produces a billowing wave pattern. They occur when there is a strong vertical shear between two air streams, causing winds to blow faster at the upper than lower levels. Height of base: Can be any height, but usually at higher levels.

I hadn’t heard of that kind of cloud before. The Japanese stamp is very beautiful.

I have just read a book (well, looked at the pictures) of clouds and learned of this formation. it is really cool – and rare! As usual, the Japanese one looks poetically beautiful.

The postmark on the first stamp contributes to the weaving effect 🙂
Both are very beautiful.

Both are beautiful! The German stamp is particularly interesting. I’ve never heard of this phenomenon before. It’s amazing how nature can create such stunning patterns.
The Japanese stamp is also very striking. The Shuri Castle and the sunrise create a beautiful and peaceful image.
Mine is an African night sky.
