If you have never seen the animated comedy film Zootopia, you should watch it! Zootopia is a gleaming metropolis populated by anthropomorphic mammals, divided into several districts including Savanna Central, Sahara Square, Tundratown, Little Rodentia, and Rainforest District, each is home to countless species of mammals specifically adapted to these environments. The code of the community is “Anyone can be anything” and no animal predates others, until…..

Postcard from Taiwan

I don’t think that coastal road turns into a bridge, but it is on pillars so I included it here, not having much else to show. The Yinyang Sea on the coast of Ruifang, New Taipei is so named because of a curiously colored patch of water. The complementary blue and yellow coloring of this bay brings to mind the ancient Chinese principle of yin and yang. The blue/yellow coloring is a result of the insoluble floating iron ions from the heavy concentration of pyrite (also known as “Fool’s Gold”) in the area.

  1. I like those little houses in Zootopia (not seen the film, yet). Wonder if those pillars are there to take the shock of earthquakes, I do love coastal roads and bridges.
