  1. Insects always look like some sort of alien monsters when you look closer at them! I like to see them on colourful stamps (more than in real life, probably!).

  2. haha, I agree with Eva regarding the ‘alien monsters’!! I prefer drawings of insects rather photos where I can pretend they might be cartoons.

  3. Now, I love the praying mantis… but I don’t like the others! In fact, I can’t bear most true bugs. I am careful with the black and red ones in my garden though, photographing them and checking what they are before I dispatch them! So many look-a-likes.

  4. Love the bug theme for your Northern Hemisphere stamps, Marina! Many people are easily startled at the sight of insects (including me) but maybe these guys need their own protection from… well, being stomped on by us surprised humans! They’re amazing creatures, but those unexpected landings or surprise fly-bys can definitely send you leaping into the air.
