China – 2016 Longxing Temple.
The Longxing Monastery or Longxing Temple is an ancient Buddhist monastery located in the town of Zhengding in Hebei Province, China, approximately 15 kilometres north of the provincial capital of Shijiazhuang. It has been referred to as the “Best Temple south of Beijing”.
Hong Kong – 2022 The Ruins of Saint Paul’s are the ruins of a 17th-century Catholic religious complex in Santo António, Macau, China. They include what was originally St. Paul’s College and the Church of St. Paul also known as “Mater Dei”, a 17th-century Portuguese church dedicated to Saint Paul the Apostle. 
Lesotho – 1980 St. Agnes Anglican Church, Teyateyan – Evangelical Church, Morija – The Lesotho Evangelical Church in Southern Africa is one of the oldest Protestant churches in Africa, established in 1833 by the Paris Evangelical Missionary Society. They received the support of the local king, and under its protection the church developed. The first mission station was in Morija.
Bulgaria – 2002 St. Nedelya Church, Sofia – Sveta Nedelya Cathedral Church, is an Eastern Orthodox cathedral in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria, a cathedral of the Sofia bishopric of the Bulgarian Patriarchate. The temple of Sveta Nedelya dates back to the 10th century, being a cathedral of the city from the 18th century.
Austria – 1984 Stift Shlagl – Stift= an old term for a monastery or cloister – this particular one dates back to the year 1200’s when it was built. The monastery is the spiritual, pastoral and economic center of the upper Mühlviertel , from which 8 parishes, 16 parishes and 2 parishes incorporated into St. Florian Abbey are looked after. In addition, the canons are also active in pastoral care and in the school system.
Austria – Mariazell Basilica – Mariazell Basilica, also known as Basilica Mariä Geburt, is a Roman Catholic church building in Mariazell, Austria. It is the most important Christian pilgrimage destination in Austria and one of the most visited shrines in Europe. In the church, a miraculous wooden image of the Virgin Mary is venerated.
Hungary – 1974 Basilica of Esztergom. The Primatial Basilica of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and St Adalbert, also known as the Esztergom Basilica, is an ecclesiastic basilica in Esztergom, Hungary, the mother church of the Archdiocese of Esztergom-Budapest, and the seat of the Catholic Church in Hungary.
-Jamaica – 1971 Centenary of the DisEstablishment of the Church of England in Jamaica.
In 1870 after the disestablishment of the then Church of England in June of that year, the bishop of Jamaica, in a most significant action of the Church in upholding the integrity of it’s mission to the Black Jamaican population, delivered a blow to the root of white privilege, with the axe of ordination when the first black Jamaican, Thomas Banbury, was ordained at St John’s Church, Black River on September 4, as a deacon in the new dispensation..

  1. An interesting travel around the world in churches and temple. The Austrian monastery style intrigued me, the stamp gives a different impression than photos, the artists eye. I was impressed that it has both a library and a brewery, the perfect place for a retreat:)
