Summer is this week’s theme for Thursday Postcard Hunt

Japan – Peaceful Okinawa / Kumejima Sand Island. Okinawa is a Japanese prefecture comprising more than 150 islands in the East China Sea. Kumejima is a remote island located approximately 100 km from the main island of Okinawa (Naha City). It is the fifth largest island in Okinawa Prefecture,
Spain – Mallorca (Majorca) is one of Spain’s Balearic Islands in the Mediterranean. On the northern tip of Mallorca is the Cap de Formentor (in the photo), where the top end of the Serra de Tramuntana mountain range meets the Mediterranean.

Italy – Peschici  in the Apulia region of southeast Italy.
Russia – Kamchatka Peninsula, a 1,250-kilometer (780 miles) peninsula in the Russian Far East. It is bordered by the Sea of Okhotsk, the Pacific Ocean, and the Bering Sea in a volcanic region.

  1. It always surprises me how many wildflowers are in such far northern places like Alaska and the Yukon. And Mallorca – beaches and mountains!

  2. Formentor beach is one of my favourite in Majorca island 🙂
    That picture of the Japanese island is just wonderful, wow. What a beautiful place!
