Turkey – 1989 Portrait of Atatürk (overprint). Turkish field marshal, revolutionary statesman, author, and the founding father of the Republic of Turkey, serving as its first president from 1923 until his death in 1938.
Looking at the postbus it made me wonder what the suspension was like, no lacking in headroom though. The birds on the branch have the safest place in the marshlands.
I’d like to ride on that postbus 🙂
And that alligator is really frightening!

I’m wondering what that alligator is saying to those poor birds!
It’s a shame the postmark covers Ataturk’s eyes.
