Liberty Square in Belo Horizonte, which is the capital city of southeastern Brazil’s Minas Gerais state. Throughout its 100-year history, the Praça da Liberdade has been the scene of important political decisions, social movements, and even cultural, leisure, and sporting events. Since 2010, the square has been an additional source of pride. Following the relocation of the state government offices to Cidade Administrativa, the buildings were converted into museums and spaces that now make up the Praça da Liberdade Cultural Circuit.
