    Of course, the falles stamp caught my attention, as it is from my region. Apart from the fireworks spectacle, the most important part is the burning of the ephemeral (but magnificent) sculptures.

  2. Look at the cheekbones on that Mexican chieftain! The $20 Chilean stamp with the easter Island head is pretty neat. As for the Fallas Festival – we get so many people complaining about the one day fireworks, I cannot imagine yours. Really, nobody does festivals quite the Spanish!!

  3. Love a pyrotechnic display and bonfires, fun stamp. Our firework festival is in November when a bonfire is appreciated for its warmth.

  4. A beautiful Canadian stamp! The US quilt square will look familiar on an upcoming week on my blog! Food Imports I can understand, but an image of peeling potatoes is rather mundane! It says “food from afar” on the stamp. Just how far did potatoes have to come? Okay, they are actually native to S. America, but it sounded funny to me. 🙂
