Postcard from Germany

It is the seat of the Archbishop of Cologne and of the administration of the Archdiocese of Cologne. It is a renowned monument of German Catholicism and Gothic architecture and was declared a World Heritage Site in 1996.

Postcard from Italy

Florence Cathedral, formally the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flower, is the cathedral of Florence, Italy. It was begun in 1296 in the Gothic style to a design of Arnolfo di Cambio and was structurally completed by 1436, with the dome engineered by Filippo Brunelleschi.

    Aerial views are always good for showing just how dominant they are in the surrounding landscape.

  2. These are fantastic cathedral postcards! The black and white Cologne Cathedral is incredibly striking. The lack of colour really emphasizes the cathedral’s imposing architecture. And the Florence Cathedral, in color, is just as impressive! I wish to visit cathedrals outside Asia – even just one – some day!
