Sunday Stamps: Mountains

….is the theme for today’s Sunday Stamps

Canada – 2020 Floe Lake Rockwall.
A postage stamp that celebrates 100 years of Kootenay National Park. The park was established on April 21, 1920 after the announcement to build the Banff-Windemere Highway, which is now known as Highway 93 South. The highway connects the Columbia and Bow River valleys.
The stamp is part of a series called From Far and Wide and features an image of the Floe Lake Rockwall. Maybe the peak will finally get the attention from climbers that it deserves.

  1. Beautiful mountains. I like the Malay stamp best, it looks like a watercolor, and I like its shape.

  2. This is a great view of the bungle bungles! I have to admit I had never heard of the Rockwell. Your enlarged version of the stamp shows it off well 😉
