Someone once told me, when I first started collecting stamps, that countries (such as Upper Volta) would have such stamps made mostly for collectors. Which could be why there were so many JFK and first man on the moon stamps. Someone would have to have one from every country!
They were certainly much more ornamental back then. Not as utilitarian, no camouflage to them! The one from Grenada, what an awkwardly long weapon to carry and hold!
Impressive uniforms! Not exactly like what we use nowadays 🙂
