-Bologna

Bologna is a city in and the capital of the Emilia-Romagna region in Northern Italy. It is also called the Learned City because it is home to the oldest university in the world.

Bologna is renowned for its culinary tradition. It is the home of the famous Bolognese sauce, a meat-based pasta sauce. In Italy, it is called ragù and is substantially different from the variety found worldwide. In Bologna, the sauce is served primarily with tagliatelle, (what here are called fettuccine) and serving it with spaghetti is considered odd. Also, what here is called Bologna, is actually “mortadella”, a type of sausage made in Bologna.

The Two Towers both leaning, are symbols of Bologna, they were constructed between 1109 and 1119.
